Students living in DeWolfe summer housing are subject to the terms of the Housing Contract and the rules and regulations in the Harvard College Handbook for Students 2017-2018 as well as the specific summer policies outlined below:

No changes to a license (e.g., adding or changing the names of the licensee(s)) can be made after the offer has been accepted.
Submission of a housing application is not an approval or guarantee of summer housing. Should a housing offer be extended to a student, they are agreeing to accept it, including assuming full financial responsibility for the entirety of the license period.
All DeWolfe Street facilities are smoke-free, including inside the building, balconies and within 25 feet of any entrance.
All furniture within the apartment must remain inside the apartment.
Bicycles are not permitted to be locked on the fence around the building perimeter or in any common space. If you would like access to the bike storage room, please contact Harvard University Housing at 617-495-8340.
No candles, incense, or other items with an ember or open flame are permitted.
Key Pick-Up & Return
Students who have received a summer housing offer may pick up their apartment key between the hours of 9 AM - 5 PM on or after Monday, June 4 at the Harvard University Housing Property Management Office.
In order to obtain an apartment key, each licensee must present their Harvard University identification card at time they pick up their key. Key pick-up & return is only available Monday-Friday (excluding holidays) between the above hours - please plan accordingly, including making any necessary adjustments to travel plans or work schedules. Keys will not be issued to anyone other than the licensee - each licensee must pick up and return their own key. Any licensee who does not return their key by 5 PM on Friday, August 3 will be term-billed $50.
Mail & Packages
Students will be issued one mailbox key per apartment. We advise students to leave this key in an easily accessible area within your suite. Students will be term billed for lost mailbox keys.
There is no staff to accept or sign out packages. The Dean of Students Office and Harvard University Housing strongly advise that students have packages delivered to alternative locations (i.e., a friend’s house, a place of employment, etc.). Packages delivered to 10 or 20 DeWolfe will likely be left outside the building or in the vestibule as delivery services do not have access to the residential portions of the building. Some delivery companies may refuse to deliver packages to the building.
Neither Harvard College nor Harvard University Housing accept liability for any lost or damaged packages.
If you see packages in the vestibule, we encourage you to be a good neighbor and bring them inside.
Please remember to take your apartment key with you. In the event you forget it, please refer to the following procedure for accessing your apartment, based on the time and day:
- Monday-Friday (excluding holidays), 9 AM-5 PM: Visit or call the HUH Property Management Office (617-495-8340)
- Monday-Sunday, 5 PM-9 AM: Visit the Securitas office located on the 1st floor of 10 DeWolfe Street
- Saturday & Sunday, 9 AM-5 PM and holidays: Contact Harvard University Police Department (617-495-1215)
Note: You must have valid photo identification and be an approved licensee to be provided access to the apartment.
