Emily is the Director of Harvard’s First-Year Outdoor Program, a pre-orientation program for incoming first year students that uses the outdoors as a medium for community building and personal growth. She works with student coordinators, leaders, and support staff to create empowering and growth-oriented student experiences.
Emily has a B.S. from Tufts University, and came to Harvard from the National Outdoor Leadership School in Lander, Wyoming. She is passionate about using experiential learning as a tool for building more equitable education systems. When she’s not working, Emily is either spending time with friends or slowly working on her goals of roadtripping to every state in the US and hiking all of the 4,000 foot peaks in New Hampshire’s White Mountains.
