Associate Dean of Students
Lauren Brandt

I serve as the Associate Dean of Students within the Dean of Students Office, overseeing the Residential Life Unit, which includes the First Year Experience program staff, the Dudley Community, student support and residential life programs. I also work closely with the Houses and all things related to residential life (including House Committees, HUDS, transportation, residential staff trainings). I deeply enjoy helping students navigate their time at Harvard and am honored to be part of your Harvard experience.

I earned my AB in History and Literature, an MA in History, and Ph.D. in American Studies from Harvard, and currently teach as a lecturer in the History and Literature program, with an emphasis on questions of religion and gender within American history.

In my free time, I love reading mysteries and Jane Austen novels, walking my dog, and spending time with friends and family.

I first arrived at Harvard as an undergraduate, living in Wigglesworth and then in Winthrop House. Since then, I have held numerous roles at the College, including serving as a resident tutor and Resident Dean in Leverett House, and as an assistant dean within the Office of Academic Integrity and Student Conduct.
