Tomika D. Smith
As Assistant Director, Tomika serves in an advisory mentorship capacity to all students offering programming advice and assistance, mentoring organizational leadership, assessing organizational risk and ensuring compliance with Harvard College policy, developing training opportunities and materials, promoting financial competency and providing connection to campus resources.
Some of Tomika’s primary responsibilities include overseeing the Late Night @ Harvard grant program, advising the Harvard College Events Board (CEB) and the Harvard College Dance Marathon Board (HCDM), and supporting various ad hoc student groups in event coordination.
Tomika is a resource and educator for student leaders, supports organizational development and advances opportunities that encourage student involvement and leadership development. In partnership with the Associate Dean of Student Engagement, Tomika also designs, develops, and implements College-wide leadership development programs for students.
All the way from the Bluegrass State, this Kentucky girl loves to paint, travel, play and watch sports. She loves to host game nights for friends and family and enjoys binge watching recommended television shows. She often goes for long walks and spends time with her small miniature poodle, Jaxson. Tomika has received her Masters in College Student Personnel from the University of Louisville (Go Cards!) and her Bachelors in Communications from Western Kentucky University (Go Tops!).
